Bexar County

Bexar County can be found in south central Texas, and it includes the major city of San Antonio. By far the most well known of the county’s communities, San Antonio is the second largest city in the entire state and sits just over an hour away from Austin, the state’s capital. The Alamo should certainly be top on your list of sightseeing while glamping in Bexar County for its deep roots in Texas’ history, and continue your historical tour to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, the Mission San José, and the San Fernando Cathedral. Once the history lesson is over, head to the San Antonio River Walk, and you’ll find a hub for great shopping, eating, and more. Plan on taking in a show at the Majestic Theatre, too, where the aesthetic beauty of this old theater may be the shining star of the evening. Outdoor activities in and near San Antonio include strolling around all day the San Antonio Botanical Garden or the Japanese Tea Gardens, exploring the Natural Bridge Caverns, and hiking or biking through Friedrich Wilderness Park or the Government Canyon State Natural Area while luxury camping in Bexar County.
