Description of Glamping Units
All eight of these pet-friendly cottage rentals in Louisiana feature a private bathroom, a full kitchen, a porch or a deck, a barbecue grill, cable TV, wireless internet access, a hot tub, heating, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. The host asks that owners to not let their pets on the furniture.
The Treehouse, the Cook’s Cottage, and the Gazebo are one-bedroom cottages with working fireplaces. Both the Treehouse and the Gazebo have king-sized beds and decks. Although the Cook’s Cottage has a deck like the other two units, it is different because it has a queen-sized bed and a porch, as well. Also, the Gazebo has antique, stained-glass church windows, and the Treehouse’s deck has three levels that allow glampers and a pet to enjoy the sights of the ravine.
The Dovecote, the Pond House, the Pool Pavilion, Chase’s Cottage, and the Old Kitchen all have a king-sized bed and a double- or queen-sized bed, two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. The Dovecote is an intriguing, three-story windmill with a deck. The Pond House is complete with a hammock where glampers and a furry friend can enjoy the views of the wildlife in the morning. The Pool Pavilion has two floors and a gazebo porch looking out at the ravine connected to it. Chase’s Cottage has a unique tin roof and is right on the pond. Finally, the Old Kitchen has skylights and exposed beams, and glampers have the chance to peer down the original 115-foot-deep well. Read More

Dating back to the 1790s, these antebellum cottages are set on 50 acres of a Louisiana plantation near the historic town of St. Francisville. The grounds are well-groomed with colorful gardens shaded by ancient oak trees. Encompassing the plantation is an unspoiled forest where deer, foxes, bobcats, and chipmunks can be spotted, as well as beautiful herons at the quiet pond. Read More

For glampers and their pet, these antebellum cottages are a perfect mix of history and exploration. There are numerous tours that show glampers and their furry friend historic sites and landscapes, but there are also restored plantations and gardens open to the public that are perfect for a nature walk and bird watching. In the area, there are also two fantastic dog parks. The city of St. Francisville is a must-see at this glamping site—it was once a rich community for cotton and indigo plantations and now demonstrates remarkable, nineteenth century architecture and amazing shops and restaurants.
