There is a private beach attached to this property that is at present not reachable directly from the property due to some downed trees . If you would like to visit the beach at low tide, you can access it from the Alsea Bay Bridge less than a mile away. Also next-door are Hydro bikes, kayaks and a paddle boat available for rent along with crabbing equipment, a luxury pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, and a 10-person spa. There is also a gazebo for picnics.

We have owned this property since 2018, and always dreamed of offering guests a glamping experience in this cathedral of nature. We cleared out a spot and found the perfect airstream. We opened up the view corridor to the gorgeous Alsea Bay below.

Future projects include clearing out a trail down to our private beach and installing a deck.
This is an amazing location. It was used as a fishing village by the Alsea people for thousands of years. It became the original settlement of Waldport in the mid-1800s, and housed a cannery, post office, general store and the ferry landing.

The pilings from the cannery still exist along some of our beaches, and if you head west at low tide (towards the bridge and the ocean) you can explore ruins of the former settlement, as well as waterfalls and fern gullies. Please use caution if exploring the ruins.

We have a unique microclimate here that often keeps us warm and sunny even when the coast is fogged in. In general, we are 10 degrees warmer than the oceanfront and do not experience as many of the high winds that the beach gets due to our protected location.
