Located in a highly secluded location in southern Alaska, this glamping property is 100 miles from the paved road system and uses the community of Chitina as its hub. Chitina is a community located along the Copper River and known for the discover of copper ore in the area in the Chitina River Valley.

This luxury camping site begins their season in March and April, due to the excellent spring skiing, though the best time to visit in general is in between June and September, given the amount of daylight received in this time frame. June gives glampers almost 24 hours of daylight, while September is the perfect time to visit and see the Northern Lights. For avid skiers and snowboarders, however, April and May are the best months.

The main activity at this glamping site for guests to enjoy is plane-assisted skiing. There are four mountain ranges that converge in this area of Alaska, which totals 13 million acres of primer skiing and snowboarding conditions.

The hosts have five personal charter planes and come from a family of licensed pilots and aviation aficionados, as well as being so themselves. With these planes, they not only offer the aforementioned plane-assisted skiing packages, but also other types of special charter trips, anywhere from Siberia to the Yukon, per guests' requests. Past trips have included following the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race mushers by air from Anchorage to Nome, a "Best of Alaska" tour, a midnight sun parade in Nome, and private climbing charters.

Additional info

The rates listed are based on double occupancy for a three- to seven-night, custom, all-inclusive package. If there are more than two glampers, there will be an additional cost of $1,700 per person per night.

Glampers will have to arrive at the lodge between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., and leave by 10 a.m. on their final day. Arrival and departure days are not counted as adventure days. However, this package allows more flexibility with dates.

Additionally, glampers can also opt for the site’s standard all-inclusive package. This package includes four nights and four days in a deluxe cabin, not including flying adventures. There is a set schedule of activities for the week and the cost of this package is $7,800 per person, per stay, based on a minimum of two glampers (Sunday-Thursday, weekly).

The standard all-inclusive package requires glampers to check in between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday and leave at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

Transfers to/from McCarthy or Chitina, Alaska are included for both packages.

Rates are all inclusive of gourmet Alaskan meals, complimentary house wines and Alaskan craft beers, light laundry service, and equipment rental. But that’s not all, as glampers also receive unlimited access to the sauna, self-spa, and bush plane flights.

Not included in the rates are personal expenses, gratuities, licenses for fishing, and transfers from any location not specified.

Glampers ages six and up, can join their family on the adventure, but no discount rates are available as an entire seat in the aircraft will be occupied.

If necessary, dates of the trip are amendable in the same calendar year, based on availability.

As this property is remote, glampers are obliged to inform the host about any health problems, allergies, and physical limitations. Guests will have to sign a liability release waiver upon arrival.

The host is not responsible for any delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond control like weather conditions.
