The site sits at 3,200-foot elevation and is just 3.5 miles from downtown Whitefish (named one of the "Top Ten Cool Towns" by Frommer's Budget Travel). The site is surrounded by 3,000 acres of Spencer Mountain State Forest and has permits to ride on over a million acres of Flathead, Tally Lake, Kootenai National Forests as well as Stillwater State Forest.
