Blenheim, South Island

Detailed location provided after booking

Scenic views
Surrounded by fruit orchards on a 16-acre farm, this remote campsite is located near a beautiful inlet in the Marlborough Sounds, a collection of ancient sea-drowned valleys in the north of New Zealand's South Island. Situated at the top of Endeavour Inlet in Queen Charlotte Sound, the farm is inaccessible by land and can only be reached on foot, by bike, or by boat or water taxi. Filled with fruit trees and populated by friendly pigs and chickens, this campsite is a popular stop-off for hikers walking or cycling the famous Queen Charlotte Track, a stunning 45-mile route through virgin bushland, sheltered inlets, and sandy bays. Guests coming from Wellington can take a scenic three-hour ferry trip to Picton where boats depart to Endeavour Inlet.

This campsite is located just off the trail of the Queen Charlotte Track, one of New Zealand's leading hiking routes running the length of the Queen Charlotte Sound. The 45-mile route takes in stunning virgin bushland, historic sites, and secluded turquoise bays and can be walked or cycled. There are also plenty of shorter hikes that start right from the farm, including walks to a local lookout with great views over Port Gore and Cape Jackson and a former mine. The heart of the Marlborough Sounds is the attractive seaside town of Picton, two hours by boat, which has a lovely harbor surrounded by restaurants and shops. From Picton, guests can take a variety of boat trips to spot dolphins and other marine life or even visit the Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary, just 10 minutes away.
