Description of Glamping Units

This pet-friendly glamping site in the Amazon Rainforest of Venezuela has 35 individual cabañas for rent. Each feature two or three single- or double-sized beds with thick, high-quality mattresses. Each accommodation has a private bathroom. The exterior walls and wooden base are about four feet high, and they are screened to the roof all the way around to allow fresh air and light to enter. This also allows the sounds of the jungle to be fully enjoyed. The shaggy palm roofs create privacy and have extremely long overhangs to block the view of passersbys into the cabin. The bathroom areas are each separated by a solid interior wall on two sides, and they are lined with ceramic tile on the inside. The cabins have electricity provided by generators from sunset to 11 p.m. Read More

Facilities

The huge main social building is a unique dwelling erected on bodies of water directly on the shore line and features a spacious dining-social area, a kitchen, and a bar under a palm roof reaching a height equivalent to more than three stories. This building also has cantilevered walls and the interior spaces are subtly divided by a container with live banana trees and other plants to give visitors many areas for seating, reading and talking.

Connected to this building is an extensive deck area with built-in tables and benches, which are great for watching the spectacular views of the surrounding jungle and river and perfect for gazing at the stars at night. Inside the building you'll find an extensive library featuring books and magazines in many different languages. All the structures are joined by a network of elevated plank walkways and lined with kerosene torches to light the way by night. The grounds have been beautifully landscaped with jungle plants.

What to bring: hat, long trousers, long-sleeve shirt, shorts, rain jacket, insect repellent, camera, swimming suit and flashlight (very important).
