This pet-friendly cabin rental in Alpine near Marfa, West Texas is artistically decorated with lots of charm and character. There are three bedrooms with a queen-size bed, a full-size bed, and two twin-size beds, and one bathroom. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a large fridge. Central air and heating have been installed so guests are comfortable all-year-round. The backyard is perfect for families with young children and pets - it is a great open space protected by a fence and bicycles are there for whoever wishes to take a ride. There is also a washer and dryer for guests.
There is high-speed Internet, a large flat screen TV with a DVD player and plenty of movies for guests to watch. There is no cable TV but there is an Apple TV which is accessed through the internet connection and can connect to Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, and many other applications.
This cabin rental has two private front entrances and one backdoor. Dining under the shaded ramada outside or star gazing in the backyard are some of guests' favorite activities. Upon entering the living room, there is a day bed/couch with two twin beds to the right, one pulls out easily from beneath the top mattress and can be moved anywhere. Alpine is the gateway to the Big Bend region, located in the Chihuahuan Desert Mountains of West Texas. Alpine is situated at the "hub of the wheel" with the neighboring communities of Marfa (west), Marathon (east), and Fort Davis (north), approximately 25 minutes away. Big Bend National and State Parks and Terlingua and Mexico are about an hour south from the glamping site and offer plenty of fun and cultural opportunities for guests to spend their days exploring. Guests can cross into Ojinaga, Mexico south of Marfa in Presidio. El Paso is approx three hours north west and Austin (the State Capitol) is about 6 hours away.
The skies are extraordinarily clear and bright in this part of the world and McDonald's Observatory is a popular destination. Guests can relax and stargaze while at the property. This cabin rental is located two doors down from several fun shops and restaurants where guests can dine on tasty Mexican food, enjoy delicious coffee, icy raspas, and shop for gifts and treasures. There is plenty for guests to do in and around Alpine. Hiking and Biking (both on and off road) are extremely popular. Additionally, guests can simply marvel at the stunning landscapes, mountain views and vast starry skies while soaking in the Big Bend Hot Springs, located on the International Boundary Rio Grande River in the National Park or at Chinati Hot Springs, south of Marfa. Alpine Country Club Golf Course offers day passes for glampers and Marfa Golf Club and Lajitas down south offer more golfing facilities for glampers to explore. Sul Ross State University in Alpine has an Olympic size indoor pool and great hiking and off-road biking paths, as well as Museum well worth visiting.
