Description of Glamping Units
The cottage, nicknamed "Honeysuckle Cottage," comes with a master bedroom with a romantic queen-size bed with French doors opening onto the screen porch with a pretty view over the surrounding area. The master bath is porcelain-stone tiled with a brand new glamor shower, and the bathroom also has double sinks in antique buffet, as well as heated tiled floors. The cottage also has a separate European-style WC. The second bedroom in the loft has a double antique metal bed, a low twin bed, and half bath with antique hotel-wall sink. There's also a fun farm pulley system that takes your luggage and amenities up easily!
Guests can enjoy access to a private, outdoor jetted hot tub (3 seater) with night lights on deck with lovely mountain farm views. The open deck has an outdoor gas grill, adirondack chairs and an umbrella. The screen porch has a day bed, farm table and chairs. The great room has 20 ft. high cathedral-style white pine ceilings and French Doors with overhead windows for a panoramic view from the living, dining and kitchen areas of a pastural mountain scene.
The living area has a wood burning fireplace (the fire wood will be provided) with a comfortable eight foot long sofa, additional seating and antique armoire for the TV and book library. The cottage has a flatscreen TV with Hi Def, DirecTV Choice plus package and local stations, 200 channels including 60 music channels on DirecTV; DVD player (be sure to bring some favourites!). The cottage has a fully equipped, cozy kitchen with marble counter, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee pot, teakettle, pots & pans and dishes for all possible catering needs. The dining table accommodates four but can expand to allow seating for six. Outside there is a cowboy style outdoor fire pit (firewood provided), a free standing double wood-swing & adirondack chairs in yard near the fire pit plus a double hammock and horse shoe courts for guests to enjoy.
The cottage has central gas heat and air conditioning, with ceiling fans in the bedroom, living area, loft and also on the screen porch. Spa robes, fine linens, towels and hair dryers are all provided in the cottage, plus locally made goat milk soaps and eco friendly organic toiletries free of charge.
The accommodation benefits from a house-water purification system for chlorine-free showers and baths, plus purified drinking water. Washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and green-friendly supplies are available to guests. Cell phones work sporadically at this cottage but guests may find some magic spots in the yard and the loft. Internet: There is no broadband in the area and cell coverage spotty at this cottage. However there is hi-speed wireless at American Grill Restaurant 5 miles away in Valley. Fishing poles are available to borrow for the fish pond at the nearby Fish Shack, just a short hike from the cottage. Additionally, glampers will also be able to go horseback trail riding, swimming, boating, antiquing, and experiencing bluegrass and cultural activities off the beaten path in this area—allowing them to beat the crowds of the major tourist areas like Gatlinburg and the Smokies, though both of these places also make for great day trips.
