The cabins are located close to a prehistoric, privately-owned, spring-fed lake called Ansaldo Lake. On this lake, glampers and their pet can participate in swimming, fishing, and boating. This lake has a catch and release policy and is only accessible to guests. It is a sport fisherman’s paradise because it is filled with rainbow trout. This feisty fish can weigh up to 10 pounds, and this is a great opportunity for dry-fly casting if guests decide to take advantage of early evening hatches. The ranch does ask that guests bring their own fishing gear. The perfect times to fish are in May, June, and October whereas swimming is best from June to September.
Want a day away from the lake? There are plentiful opportunities for guests and furry friends to barbecue, hike, go on a hayride, view wildlife, and go on tours.
