Lakeview

Lakeview is a small town in Lake County, Oregon, approximately 15 minutes’ drive from the California state line. There are a great many natural points of interest in the surrounding area, thus making it an excellent spot for outdoor activities. If it’s mountain hiking you’re after, why not try out Crane Mountain or Drake Peak, each just a stone’s throw away. In terms of lakes, due north is where you’ll find Lake Abert, while a straight shot south takes you to Goose Lake with accompanying Goose Lake State Park. Fremont National Forest is very close by, as is Modoc National Forest over the border in California. As if all that isn’t enough, Lakeview is within driving distance of not one but two National Antelope Refuges - Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge and Sheldon National Antelope Refuge, the latter of which is over the border in Nevada.
