For example, this site is only four miles from the largest recreational lake in Oregon, Detroit Lake, which is great for kayaking, fishing, water skiing, and more. Water-lovers can also go rafting on the Santiam River, and the surrounding woods are also great for hiking and cycling. In the winter, Hoodoo Ski Resort is great for skiing and snowboarding, and afterwards, guests can have a soak at Brietenbush Hot Springs nearby.
