Birdwatching - The park is home to more than 250 bird species and is a birder’s paradise. Some common birds include the Steller's jay, American robin, acorn woodpecker, common raven, mountain chickadee, and the red-winged or the tropical looking western tanager.
Fishing - The season for stream and river fishing begins on the last Saturday in April and continues through November 15 on lakes like Frog Creek and Eleanor.
Hiking - There are over 800 miles of marked trails in the park, such as Glacier Point Road, Wawona and Mariposa Grove, Yosemite's largest grove of giant sequoias, Hetch Hetchy, White Wolf, Tuolumne Meadows, Badger Pass/Glacier Point, and Crane Flat. You can also find an array of wildflower walks in the park.
