These luxurious and primitive yurts, located three miles west of Paonia, are nestled into southwest Colorado on a large wrap-around redwood deck anchored by two mature Elm trees. The structures are directly next to the North Fork of the Gunnison River. The yurts are the perfect place for rest, relaxation and a secluded getaway, as it’s removed from neighbors and tucked in below the sight line and activity of Highway 133. In addition to the beautiful yurts, guests will have access to the rest of the property that stretches for a quarter of a mile along the river’s edge. Guests can expect to see amazing wildlife like elk, deer, eagles, red-tailed hawks, robins, and blue herons. Read More

There are many things for dogs to focus on and enjoy at this glamping property. There is a riverwalk trail that gives the dog a place to run through the Cottonwood Forest, complete with tall grass over fallen trees. This soon shifts into an open scrub savannah with succulents and short rolling brush. In turn, this alters to willow and aspen trees along the rocky river banks. For the dog, this is three different amusement runs on a single walk!
