Cordillera

Cordillera is a small place which lies within the iconic Rocky Mountain range. It is somewhere that can be enjoyed all year round, thanks to the mountains which rise up to the south, but which is mostly enjoyed in the winter months when ski season rolls around. Go hiking in the nearby White River National Forest, which is one of the most popular in the entire country, and which has an abundance of hiking trails for you to follow into the trees. For the best skiing opportunities, head to the ski resort town of Vail. Here, you can enjoy a number of activities in the summer months, too. Yet, it has some of the smoothest slopes to ski down, which are punctuated by amazing mountain views.
