The famous natural monument of Chimney Rock is just a 30-minute drive to the west and is an interesting location for an enlightening day trip. Other activities that can be found in the area are hot air balloon rides, golfing, and exploring on ATVs.
The property itself sits adjacent to the Martinez Creek with the neighboring San Juan River close by, so glampers who love being on the water can go swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, and rafting. Fishing charters can be accessed within minutes of the property, so guests do not have to travel far to cast a line.
As the weather becomes cold, snow falls and the mountain resorts open their doors. Downhill skiing and snowboarding are popular sports on the mountains while snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and riding snowmobiles are popular on flatter terrain. When the lakes and streams freeze, locals love to practice ice skating or spend the afternoon ice fishing.
Pagosa Springs is home to many breweries and independent restaurants with interesting local gastronomy, so when glampers want a break from the outdoors, they can head into town.
