Description of Glamping Units
There are two different tree houses for rent at this site near the Shawnee National Forrest. Glampers and their pets can choose from the White Oak Tree House and the Maple Oak Tree House. Both tree houses include heat, air conditioning, a campfire area with outdoor furniture and firewood (the perfect place for glampers and their pets to relax after a long day), and an outdoor grill with a picnic table. There is also a kitchenette with a stove, a toaster, a convention oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a coffee pot in each rental, as well as a bathroom with a shower and a toilet.
The White Oak Tree House can accommodate up to six guests and two pets. Inside the tree house, there is a queen-sized bed, as well as a full-sized mattress in the loft and a futon on the main floor.
The Maple Oak Tree House: Although this tree house can sleep up to four people and two pets, it is recommended as the perfect couples' vacation (with four-legged friends!). There is a full-sized futon on the main floor and a queen-sized Sleep Number bed in the lofted area. Read More

Nearby, there is a pond for glampers and their pets to go fishing. An outpost store sells locally-made artisan items and fairtrade items from around the world.

Up to two pets can be accommodated for no additional charge. However, guests must have their credit card on file in case any damage occurs. Pets must be friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people, and pet owners assume responsibility for their pets. Since there are cats on site, dogs that may chase cats must be kept on a leash at all times. Any aggressive pets will be asked to leave immediately.
Pets are required to be up to date on shots, and they must be protected with flea and tick medication before they arrive. There is medication for sale on site, as well. Owners must bring thick blankets to cover the furniture in their accommodation even if their pet doesn't typically jump onto furniture.
This glamping site is open year-round and is welcoming to children. Smoking is prohibited. Although there is a two-night minimum stay, guests can ask about single-night bookings to see if they are available. Rates are slightly higher during Friday and Saturday nights. Read More

With an abundance of things to do nearby, pets and their owners won’t have to worry about being bored on their vacation. Private guided hikes are offered of the Shawnee National Forest where guides will help glampers and their furry friends discover hidden caves, cliffs, and ledges. The forest is also home to the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, the Iron Furnace, and One House Gap Lake, just to name a few attractions. Throughout the year, hiking, backpacking, hunting, picnicking, and and horseback riding are also offered to glampers.
The local pond is stacked with sunfish, catfish, large-mouth bass, and walleye, so glampers and their pets can stop by for a laid-back day of fishing or even just to dip their feet (and paws) in the water. Nearby Hardin County offers the best whitetail deer and turkey hunting in the country, while the Smithland Poole of the Ohio River hosts multiple fishing competitions throughout the season.
