This rustic log cabin in Virginia feels lost in time, keeping many of its features from construction in the 1800s, without losing its modern furnishings added in recent renovations. Constructed from native timber, this pet-friendly rental features one room on both the upstairs and downstairs levels. The lower room boasts the living space with a sofa and chairs, a gas heated fireplace, as well as a TV and DVD player. A quaint kitchenette set upon one wall is completed by a small refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, and a sink with hot and cold water. All cookware is provided by the host, in addition to a farm table and chairs allowing for rustic dining.

On the upper level there are two double beds as well a singe, making this the ideal destination for small groups or a family. A cozy rocking chair with side table and reading lamp completes the serene atmosphere, while all linens are provided by the host to make packing easy. A toilet and shower on the main floor, with towels also provided by the host, ensure a comfortable stay.

A long porch wraps around the back of the accommodation, while a larger front porch contains rocking chairs and a porch swing, as well as offering beautiful views over the nearby mountain ranges and the Tye River below. A BBQ grill and stone fireplace keeps things toasty, while a picnic table allows for al fresco dining under the stars.

The nearest supermarket is The Food Lion on US Highway 29 in Lovingston—a half hour drive from the property. There are some small convenience stores in the area, the closest being about four miles away in Montebello should guests require anything for their rental.

Please note, there is no cell phone reception on the mountain, and there are no phones in individual cabins. There is a phone available for use between the cabin "office" and the garage.

Guests can rent DVDs from the main office on the property, and guests should note that, in most cases, there is no satellite or cable hook-up for the televisions.
