For those interested in wine and viticulture, Chateau Morrisette, Virginia's largest winery, and Villa Appalachia are both within five miles of the property. Chateau Morrisette hosts musical festival throughout the summer, as well as free Sunday concerts on the grounds. Friday nights should definitely be spent in the town of Floyd, where there are many bars, restaurants, and clubs to enjoy.
Guests hoping to immerse themselves in the natural surroundings will love the trails on offer around the Blue Ridge Parkway and they can enjoy a stroll down the well-worn path beside Rock Castle Gorge. For a more exhilarating hike, guests can head to Buffalo Mountain and climb the 4000-foot peak where there are expansive 360-degree views on offer.
