Richland is a town that lies incredibly close to the shores of the famous Lake Ontario, which is one of the five Great Lakes. The nearby Winona State Forest is a great place to start exploring the wilderness, but you could head out to Five Ponds Wilderness to hike through a lake-dotted mountain landscape that you won’t find anywhere else.
