Medusa

Medusa is a small hamlet that lies between the Adirondack Mountains and the Catskill Mountains, which makes it an excellent location to come on a camping trip if you are looking to enjoy the best of both worlds. Unlike the sinister connotations of its ancient name, is is a place filled with tranquility, and is somewhere many people visit when they are looking to escape the business of everyday life. The nearby Windham-Blackhead Range Wilderness is a great place to start in your exploration of the mountains, which lies at the top of the Catskills. Here, you can follow many hiking trails that wind through the wilderness, and you can even find yourself in the beautifully unkempt Kaaterskill Wild Forest. North lies Silver Lake National Forest, where you can hike across the mountainous terrain of the Adirondacks.
