Description of Glamping Units
This pet-friendly bell tent in Entre Ambos-os-Rios, Portugal is large and elevated on a grand wooden terrace. It has a small table and folding chairs, so it is the ideal place for glampers and their pets to hang out or sit back and relax while soaking in the beautiful Portugal surroundings. A queen-sized mattress is provided, and upon request, and air mattress can be added to sleep an additional two guests for an extra fee.

This glamping site has common areas with tables and benches, covered barbecue areas, and a restaurant with local specials and international dishes. Glampers and their pets can also visit the mini-market, a bar with some snacks, and a shady forest and water mirror all around the park. During the summer, live music concerts are every Saturday.

This glamping site was founded in 1998 and is located at the peninsula of Lima and Tamente rivers, inside of the Peneda-Geres National Park in the place called Entre Ambos-os-Rios (a Portuguese name for “between the two rivers”), Ponte da Barca in the district of Viana do Castelo, which is in northern Portugal. The Peneda-Geres National Park was named a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It is one of the greatest natural attractions in Portugal with its rare and stunning scenic beauty and the ecological and ethnographic value and variety of fauna (roe deer, ponies, wolves, birds of prey) and flora (pine, yew, chestnut, oak and various medicinal plants). It extends from the mountains of Geres in the south, through the mountains of Peneda, to the Spanish border. Near the camping site you’ll find the Castle and Dam of Lindoso with its spectacular views, and São Bento de Ermelo Monastery, famous for its tasty oranges originally planted by monks. You’ll also be close to Soajo village with its “espigueiros” (authentic small stone constructions for the storage of corn and other grains) and beautiful mountain ranges with waterfalls and natural lakes. Glampers and their furry friends will be located at Entre Ambos-os-Rio, which is an area with an abundance of activities. Not only is the surrounding landscape magnificent, but glampers and their pets can also visit small open-air concerts and local festivals. After exploring the natural wonders of the Peneda-Geres National Park, guests can visit the Castle and Dam of Lindoso, which is close to the site. Also close by is the São Bento de Ermelo Monastery, which is famous for its delicious oranges that were originally planted by monks. The Soajo village is nearby with its “espiguerios”, which are authentic small stone constructions for the storage of corn and other grains. Glampers and their four-legged friends can delve into the natural lakes, waterfalls, and mountain ranges, as well.
