This unique pet-friendly suite near L'Aquila, Italy comes with a king-sized bed and two single beds, which contain a wool mattress on an iron frame. The room contains six pillows, cotton sheets and a blanket with the designs and patterns of the region. Guests also receive shampoo/soap, a hairdryer, towels and daily housekeeping. On the Pastures with Mimi:
The farm which Mimi has been working on as a child as a shepherd, hidden secrets of the land can be discovered on this activity.
During this two hour class, guests will get face-time with the Chef and learn all of the cooking utensils. Guests will also be cooking several dishes ranging from ravioli to "ferrartelle," and using local ingredients and a tasting session.
Similar to the cooking class but with a more focus on bread items. Working with a local housewife, guests will prepare pizza and bread using the old traditional utensils and cook the food in the authentic wood-burning oven.
Guests will spend a couple of hours learning how to make different pastries including cakes, cookies, and milk biscuits, all cooked in an authentic wood-burning oven.
After receiving a short lesson on the art of weaving, guests will try making cloth with traditional techniques and instruments.
Soap Making Class:
Passed down from generations, the recipe to soap making has been kept alive at the property and guests will learn this recipe from a trusted artisan perfumer.
