This pet-friendly eco-cabin is the ideal retreat for those who are searching for a different kind of lifestyle, one that is focused on conservation and sustainable living. Glampers will have the opportunity to experience what an environmentally friendly lifestyle really looks like. The accommodation contains a wooden balcony and offers beautiful views across the Ontario landscape, in Canada. Inside the eco-cabin, the decor is simple and rustic, yet charming, and most of the cabin has been entirely crafted from resourced wood. Fitted with two queen size beds and pillows, this glamping accommodation can easily sleep four and a well-behaved dog, and contains additional sleeping space on the queen size futon.
The kitchen comes furnished with dishes, pots, and pans, however the host requests that cooking takes place outside for safety reasons. The large outdoor deck and a propane barbecue, allows meals to be enjoyed in the dining area inside or outside on the picnic bench when weather permits.
If glampers want to spend a bit of family time together, the lounge area contains rocking chairs, board games, and the host offers complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests are encouraged to make a campfire in the evenings, and free firewood is provided for guests. When glampers are ready for adventure, equipment for many of the outdoor activities is provided free of charge, such as life jackets, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards. One of the first things that glampers and their pets will notice as soon as they step onto the site is the importance of sustainability. Facilities on site include a picnic shelter where glampers and their pets can set up a meal for themselves or even their fellow glampers and pets.
Glampers also have access to “the Barge,” which is an 85-foot boat that can be used for swimming, fishing, and partying.

A pet fee of $35 will be charged for weekend stays and $70 for week stays. Any pet that chases an island animal, bites, or continually barks will be removed from the island immediately. This glamping site is located on an island on Rice Lake, which is 25 miles long and two to three miles wide in size, and is near the rural, rolling hills and farmland of southeastern Ontario. At only five minutes from the village of Roseneath, this property is also within easy driving distance of Toronto, Kingston, and Peterborough. Canoeing, kayaking, swimming, paddleboating, and fishing are a few of the options for activities glampers and their pets to participate in. In the middle of the island are sand volleyball and badminton courts, horseshoe pits, and gigantic checkers. Glampers and their pets can also hike around the island for some picturesque views.
