Description of Glamping Units
On the banks of the Courtenay River, on Vancouver Island, this beautiful, pet-friendly rental has three bedrooms and is perfect for six people. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is from the original house built in 1936 and is furnished with a queen-size bed. The third bedroom has two twin size beds, and a child-size bed is available upon request.
The ensuite bathroom is a full bathroom with additional amenities such as a heated towel rack and a heated toilet seat. The main bathroom also comes with a heated towel rack and toilet seat, and a combination tub and shower. The living room is a spacious area with seating for eight around the TV area. There is also a fireplace built, which has cozy seating for three around the flames.

Facilities here include a portable air conditioning unit to cool a large portion of the house and portable fans provided for each bedroom. There is an alarm clock available, basic soaps, an iron and ironing board, a dryer and clothes drying racks. guests will be provided with dryer sheets and detergent. Guests will also enjoy having heated toilet seats, shampoo, beach and bath towels and heated towel racks in the bathrooms.
Additional facilities include an electric fireplace, central heating, wireless internet and a telephone for local calls. There is a driveway for parking and enough room on the street in front of the cottage to accommodate an RV, a boat or a trailer.

Location + Surroundings
Located on the bank of the Courtenay River in the Courtenay River Estuary, this property is a tranquil oasis of wildlife and nature. See plenty of untouched fauna and flora, as well as wild salmon, seals, blue herons and ducks. Birds are commonly found outside this property and easily spotted with the binoculars and bird identification book provided on site. Along the river, there is access for swimming and kayaking from the backyard.

This property is walking distance from shopping, restaurants, spas, a live theater, a recreation gym, walking and biking trails and fishing spots. Walk to The Old House - Oh Spa, the Comox Valley Farmer's Market, the live Sid Williams theater, the Courtenay Recreation Center and the Courtenay District Museum. Golf courses, horseback riding, wine tasting, bowling, as well as plenty of wildlife attractions and tours are in close proximity.
In the winter, guests can snowboard, ski, snowshoe, hike, mountain bike or ride the chair for panoramic island views! The Mount Washington's ski bus stop is 300 meters away, where there are frequent pickups at $10 per trip. Mount Washington Alpine Resort's bus stop is a 20 minutes drive.
